Eva Longoria Has A Nipple Slip On ?David Letterman?

Even David Letterman asked where she was going when Eva Longoria walked onto his chat show set in a barely-there tuxedo, which ended up popping open. ?That?s only part of a tuxedo?, the talk show host joked when the star arrived in hot pants and a low-cut jacket without anything underneath. And she left Letterman [...]

Ever Wonder Why Beyonce, Rihanna, & Gaga Work So Hard?

You've asked time and time again, "Why doesn't [insert name of any over-saturated pop diva here] just go away for a while and take a break?"

If you have ever wondered why the young generation of pop artists like Beyonce, Lady Gaga, or Rihanna never take breaks and always seem to be hustling a new project, we have an interesting answer for you inside....

It's all about COMPETITION.  At least that's the case acccording to a new report from MSNBC.  The reason Rihanna and Beyonce are always out promoting or working on a new album, movie, fragrance or commercial is the general belief in the industry that if you don't go H.A.M. for at least a full three years, your adoring tweensters will forget about you and move on to the new big "pop" diva.  I personally believe it has something to do with a certain level of TRUE talent--not just the talent of being stylish and controversy-causing and beautiful--that is lacking these days.

According to MSNBC, one expert said:

"As a newer artist, RiRi is still hustling to establish herself," says independent music and social media marketer Lisa Jenkins.  "Emerging pop artists understand that the more hits they have on the radio, the more love the fans will give them, and the better their career longevity will be."

It's a phenomenon that doesn't necessarily translate to other music genres, such as country or rock, where bands are generally understood to have less competition and therefore, the thinking goes, more time to unspool their music.

MSNBC continued,

"In the pop music business, it's standard for a new talent to work for at least three years straight before taking any kind of break--just to fend off all the other pop tartlets who want that same crown. In fact, three years is considered the standard for any emerging pop diva.

(Between her first solo release and her ascension to film stardom in Dreamgirls, Beyonce worked nearly nonstop for almost exactly three years. And there's a reason why relative newcomer Lady Gaga nearly collapsed during a New Zealand performance last year; she's been working like an animal since her debut studio album came out--less than three years ago.)"

That's a far cry from the past.  Fans of the old school might remember that TLC took off four years in between their debut album and their sophomore smash CrazySexyCool.  Now....can you imagine Beyonce going three years without putting out anything?  NOT GONNA HAPPEN.

So as pop music gets more competitive, and by "competitive" we're not necessarily talking about talent, our ladies have to work harder to stay relevant.  The pop music biz is not a playground for the weary.

Natalie Portman Addresses 'Black Swan' "Nastiness"

Natalie Portman Addresses 'Black Swan' "Nastiness"

Black Swan's dancing double Sarah Lane has insinuated that she should be getting all the praise for the film -- and not Natalie Portman. But the Oscar winner is trying very hard to not pay too much attention to all of the hoopla.

When asked about the controversy surrounding Lane's claims that she did "basically all of the dancing" in the ballet film, Portman tried to be as politically correct as possible about it.

"I know what went on," the star, 29, told E! News while promoting her new flick Your Highness. "We had an amazing experience making the movie. I don't want to tarnish it by entering it into nastiness."

Portman's costars Benjamin Millepied (who also happens to be her fiance and the daddy to the baby in her belly) and Mila Kunis both defended her, and Kunis said that the Portman "danced her ass off."

"I'm really proud of everyone's work on the movie, my experience," the pregnant Portman cheerily told the press. "I will have that forever. And it's nice for me to know about that no matter what kind of nastiness or gossip is going around."

Putting the controversy behind her, the mom-to-be is focusing on her pregnancy and the new role she's about to take on.

"I have to admit, it's really fun being able to take it easy and not worry about food," she said. "At the same time you have to be healthy because there is a person inside me. I do love ice cream and desserts though!"

Kelly Clarkson Performs Her Greatest Hits on 'Ellen'

Kelly Clarkson Performs Her Greatest Hits on 'Ellen'

Kelly Clarkson (rocked and) rolled out some fan favorites during Wednesday's Ellen DeGeneres Show, singing a medley of some of her greatest hits.

The pony-tailed Grammy winner joined Ellen and a huge throng of fist-pumping, hand-waving, dancing revelers during the performance -- which was taped at Universal Studios theme park in sunny Orlando, Fla., on Sunday -- to belt out a medley consisting of Miss Independent, Walk Away and Since U Been Gone. Watch the performance below!

Clarkson's new album is set to debut in September -- and she has high hopes for it. "The album is gonna be a great pop record!" she wrote on her Facebook page. "I can't wait for ya'll to hear it!"

But it's not all work and no play for Clarkson, who took some time to explore Universal after entertaining the crowd on Universal's CityWalk. "We spent all day yesterday at Universal Studios in Orlando and had the time of our lives!" she wrote on Facebook on Monday. "Loved the rides, LOVED all the Harry Potter stuff (especially butterbeer:), loved being on the Ellen show, and our guides were fantastic! Seriously, can't wait to go back!"

Clarkson, who won the first season of American Idol, is apparently an avid TV watcher as well, at least of one particular show. After Wednesday night's Top 9 performances on Idol, Clarkson showed some tweet tweet love for bushy Idol contestant Casey Abrams.

"I might have a bit of a crush on Casey on American Idol this season," she wrote on her Twitter page. "He's super cute and obviously super talented. Great job tonight man!"

Could love be in the air? If so, we're sure to hear about it when one of them pens a new tune.
