Which movies are fun for the whole family and which ones are treats just for you? Find out!
In theaters now...
Source Code
Short Story:
When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. Turns out he's part of a government experiment called the "Source Code," which enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last eight minutes of his life. With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter relives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, so that he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack.
What They're Saying:
"Source Code bats around interesting philosophical ideas about the elasticity of time, and the director finds moments of humor in unlikely corners of that train of fools." - EW
"Part of the fun of Duncan Jones's frequently clever sci-fi thriller is being as in-the-dark as the film's protagonist." - Time Out New York
Good For Kids?
Source Code packs explosive romance, action and drama -- all a bit much for the little ones.
Hop
Short Story:
The battle for Easter is on! In Hop, Despicable Me's Russell Brand voices E.B., the teenage son of the Easter Bunny who's primed to take over the family business. The only snag? E.B. wants to be a drummer, so he strikes out for Hollywood, where he persuades Fred (James Marsden), an unemployed slacker with his own lofty goals, to take him in. But when a power-hungry chick stages a coup back on Easter Island, E.B. and Fred team up to figure out who they really are and how they can save Easter.
What They're Saying:
"Despite its scattered frenzy, Hop -- thanks to its fondness for smushing together seemingly incongruous elements and Marsden's goofy, bug-eyed mugging -- is just demented enough to deliver a fleeting sugar rush." -- Village Voice
"You'll laugh a lot at this colourful Easter treat, so hop to it." -- Birmingham Post
Good For Kids?
The kids will fall in love with the adorable fur ball and his silly antics.
Insidious
Short Story:
Josh and Renai have a happy family with their three young children -- but when tragedy strikes their young son, the couple begins to experience things that science cannot explain.
What They're Saying:
"The film is stylish and quietly unsettling even in its derivativeness, and it delivers the sort of slow-building chills that ruffle the hair at the back of your neck, at least until the frights get a little too literal, in the movie's third act." -- Miami Herald
"Director James Wan and screenwriter Leigh Whannell admire all sorts of fright, from the blatant to the insidiously subtle. This one lies at an effective halfway point between those extremes." - Chicago Tribune
Good For Kids?
Keep the kids far away from this spooky sci-fi flick.
In case you missed...
Sucker Punch
Short Story:
A young girl, Baby Doll (Emily Browning) is sent to live in an mental asylum by her vindictive stepfather. With only five days until she undergoes a dreaded lobotomy procedure, Baby Doll escapes to a fantasy world, where she and four other inmates become butt-kicking, samurai-sword-wielding assassins with one goal in mind: freedom. The film also stars Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens and Jamie Chung.
What They're Saying:
"Director Zach Snyder offers a peek inside his head, which turns out to be a vomatorium of pop culture's every geeky element." - Slant Magazine
"The production and art direction are top notch. With that Snyder has made young men's wildest dreams and fantasies a reality on screen." - Twitchfilm.com
Good For Kids?
A violent, sexy thriller that packs a punch -- be sure to keep the kids away from this one.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules
Short Story:
In this comedic follow-up, reformed wimp Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) and his older brother Rodrick (Devon Bostick) must learn to coexist after their parents' make a misguided attempt to have them bond.
What They're Saying:
"Endearing underdog hero Greg Heffley returns for another year of middle-school humiliation." - Variety
"Apparently seventh grade doesn't pack as much potential for amusing, scarred-for-life trauma as sixth grade." - Orlando Sentinel
Good For Kids?
The young ones will love this story about an unlikely "cool" kid.

Miley Cyrus worked hard to become the teen sensation she is today -- and she seems a little bitter about Rebecca Black's overnight success. Never mind that Black, 13, became famous because of her so-bad-it's-good vanity single "Friday." That song has now spent two weeks climbing the Billboard Top 100 -- meaning that tens of thousands of people like it enough to buy it. But it's safe to say that Cyrus, 18, isn't one of them.
"It should be harder to be an artist," Cyrus told the Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph when asked about Black's viral success. "You shouldn't just be able to put a song on YouTube and go out on tour." Since Cyrus essentially sacrificed her teen years to Disney in exchange for stardom, we understand why she'd harbor some resentment towards Black. And yet, they're not exactly in competition. Miley is an established performer and recording artist with legions of fans. Black is a semi-talented kid who struck gold, and that's exactly her appeal: Tween girls who aren't as gifted or photogenic as Cyrus can look at Rebecca Black and say, "I could do that!" Miley clearly has the long-term advantage -- so maybe she should back off and let Rebecca Black enjoy her 15 minutes. Even without Miley in her court, Black is getting a lot of love these days. Her brand-new official Twitter account has nearly 80,000 followers. Her video is approaching 7 million YouTube views. And after Justin Bieber jokingly performed "Friday" at a recent concert, Black fans started a petition to convince Bieber to sing a duet with her. Right now it's only got 1200 signatures -- but you know that if Justin Bieber takes advice from anyone (besides his "swagger coach"), it'll be from his fans. Never say never, right?Source: http://www.ivillage.com/miley-cyrus-slams-friday-singer-rebecca-black/1-a-336799

Ryan Reynolds
Blake Lively
Stepping out for her new movie, Blake Lively was one of the big attraction arrivals at a Warner Bros. Pictures presentation in Las Vegas on Thursday (March 31).
Held at Caesars Palace, the Serena van der Woodsen actress happened to be boosting interest in her new film "Green Lantern" during CinemaCon - the official convention of the National Association of Theatre Owners.
Due out June 17th of this year, "Green Lantern" co-stars Ryan Reynolds while finding "a test pilot being granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe."
Meanwhile, the CinemaCon appearance comes after rumors of strife at Chanel over the company's selection of the "Gossip Girl" actress, as a NY Daily News report claimed "'internal grumblings' at the design label's American division since actress Blake Lively was named the official face of Chanel's Mademoiselle handbag line."
Responding to the claims, a Chanel spokesperson said everything with Lively is just peachy, telling, "Blake's spontaneity and fresh youthful image have convinced Chanel that she is the right person to represent the house and this range of bags."

John Mayer touched down at LAX last night looking dapper in his latest gray suit accessorized with a pocket square. The single singer returned to the West Coast after spending much of the Winter in Manhattan whispering to dogs and fighting off romance rumors. John's now embracing the Spring-cleaning ritual by trying to clear out some highly discounted branded merchandise. He's also back to blogging, although less frequently than he has in the past. His latest entry suggests he may be penning new tunes as well as sticking to his usual gym session.

She showed up at the Victoria?s Secret SWIM event in Los Angeles yesterday looking rather thin, and now there are fears that Candice Swanepoel is too skinny.
The South African babe appeared to have lost quite a bit of weight since her photos from a few months ago, triggering several media sources to show concern.
A post on the Hollywood Life website said Candice was ?scarily, skeletally, stick-thin,? while CBS News stated that she looked ?startlingly slim.?
Back in November, Swanepoel told press, "Actually, this year my problem has been more putting the weight on and getting muscle on because it's been really busy. I've been traveling around like crazy. I get skinnier if I'm very busy.?
