Ashlee Simpson & Pete Wentz: Custody Discrepancies

Looking to do battle over his growing boy, Pete Wentz is seeking joint primary and legal custody of his son with ex-wife Ashlee Simpson, Bronx Mowgli.

According to TMZ, the Fall Out Boy bassist made the legal movie upon submitting legal papers in Los Angeles on Tuesday (March 8).

The move comes after Miss Simpson previously filed for physical custody and joint legal custody of 2-year-old Bronx last month.

Wentz also requests that he and Simpson both shell out cash for their own legal fees while she was hoping that her former hubby would cover her attorney bills.

The varying filings come despite Ashlee and Pete having released a divorce statement reading: "We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority."

What Kids Can Learn From 'American Idol' Finalists

What Kids Can Learn From 'American Idol' Finalists

Your kids can learn more from watching American Idol finalists than just that some contestants are better than others and most are taller than Ryan Seacrest. Many can be solid role models. And even if that's a stretch, at least seven represent good talking points to raise with your Idol-worshipping children:

Thia Megia
, 16
Auditioning at 15 (a new age-low for Idol), Thia demonstrates that kids can not only have a place at the grown-up talent table, but be just as impressive as anyone else there. And if you think Thia's good now that she just turned 16, check her out on America's Got Talent from two years ago.

Paul McDonald, 26
With his unique Michael McDonald/Kenny Loggins/Rod Stewart-like voice, Paul demonstrates that originality can make a positive difference, and certainly leave a lasting impression. "You were just so unique and different," Randy Jackson told Paul. "Different from anything we've ever had on the show."

James Durbin, 22
Overcoming both his Tourette Syndrome and Asperger Syndrome (a form of autism), James exemplifies not letting afflictions stand in your way. He's already a hero in the autism awareness community.

Scotty McCreery, 17
In pop music, country has to travel far from its roots to be considered "cool." But Scotty -- whom Randy has called "a throwback country guy" -- sticks to what he does best, and so far it's worked out. The point: Be who you are. McCreery and fellow contestant Lauren Alaina, 16, also identify so strongly with their spiritual sides that they each boldly chose (the same!) religious quotation on their official American Idol fan sites.

Naima Adedapo, 26
Naimi's quotation for the American Idol site is "Be humble." And this quiet former janitor is very much that, letting her unique talent -- and, some would say, her fashion sense -- do all the talking.

Casey Abrams, 20
Casey projects a nice "Be yourself" message as well, but his presence also says that good things can come in unusual packages, even if that package seems a lot like Seth Rogen. Casey doesn't look like a classic superstar, but he shines nonetheless.

Karen Rodriguez, 21
Karen's bilingual version of "Hero" demonstrate how one's personal culture can be an empowering inspiration. Rodriguez recently told MTV News, "I decided to sing in Spanish because I am a Latina. I want to represent for all my Latinos out there... I have it in my blood, it lives inside me and I have to be who I am."

Charlie Sheen Has Been Fired From ?Two And A Half Men? [UPDATE]

Welp, it was bound to happen eventually … Warner Bros. has finally decided that they can no longer put up with Charlie Sheen‘s erratic behavior and have terminated his employment from the CBS series Two and a Half Men. As you may recall, WB and CBS decided to prematurely end the current season of Two [...]

Charlie Sheen Officially Fired -- So What's His Next Move?

Charlie Sheen Officially Fired -- So What's His Next Move?

Now that Charlie Sheen has been officially axed from Two and a Half Men (shocking, we know!), he no longer has TV's highest-paying acting gig to support his out-of-control lifestyle. The coming months will determine whether Sheen, 45, can maintain his popularity after his startling media implosion -- or, as he prefers to call it, "cresting the tsunami on his mercury surfboard."

We looked at the careers of other celebs with similar issues and came up with four possible scenarios for Charlie Sheen's future.

1. Charlie Sheen is the next Robert Downey Jr.
We'll start with the best possible scenario: Charlie Sheen hits rock bottom, goes away for a while, gets his life under control and makes a spectacular comeback in Iron Man 7. This is also the least likely scenario, given that it would a) require Charlie Sheen to admit he has a problem, and b) require Charlie Sheen to have hidden reserves of movie star talent.
Possibility: low.

2. Charlie Sheen is the next Rush Limbaugh.
If Charlie Sheen continues in his determination to say whatever crazy thing pops into his head, he'd be an ideal host for an irreverent morning talk show. (Limbaugh's whole job is basically to say extreme things and make people mad, right?) We doubt he'd get very far in politics, though.
Possibility: fairly good.

3. Charlie Sheen is the next Gary Busey.
At the start, Busey's career was fairly similar to Sheen's: He had some acclaimed roles, some B-movies and even an Oscar nomination. He also had a cocaine addiction. Now Busey is sober, but thanks to years of nuttiness, his career consists mainly of doing TV guest spots and giving wacky quotes to the tabloids. No million-dollar-an-episode offers are coming his way anytime soon.
Possibility: strong.

4. Charlie Sheen is the new Snooki.
Okay, Snooki hasn't been to rehab -- but she's been arrested for public drunkenness, and it's fairly obvious the girl loves to party. Besides, of all the places that Charlie Sheen could end up, reality TV seems like the most obvious. He's already got the catch phrases ("winning!"), the wild girlfriends and the need for attention. But if his addictions got the best of him, this could go very, very wrong -- and nobody wants to see another Anna Nicole Show. Ever.
Possibility: somewhat likely.

Charlie Sheen's opportunities right now will depend on whether he can put his ego, and his partying, aside. At the moment, he's a joke, and nobody's going to hire a joke (unless Howard Stern needs a new sidekick).

Of course, there's also the question of whether people still like Charlie Sheen. He got as far as he did with Two and a Half Men by appearing funny, somewhat sweet and generally appealing. Now that he's shattered that illusion, he's going to have to find a new fan base. But he does already have 2.2 million Twitter followers, so it seems like his supporters are definitely out there.
